From Workshop to Stage

A history built on craftsmanship and care

Reveal began in 2001 with a simple goal: to create high-quality theatre drapes, made locally, that met the needs of real productions. What started as a small workshop has grown into a trusted partner for venues of every size - from school halls to major touring musicals.

Along the way, our reputation has been built on three things: craftsmanship, compliance, and care. We don’t cut corners. We don’t ship cookie-cutter imports. Instead, we focus on drapes and fabric solutions that are designed to fit each stage perfectly, installed with safety in mind, and supported by a team who understands the industry inside and out.

The Beginning

2001

Reveal Productions Founded

A boutique workshop for Australian-made theatre drapes.

Reveal began in Fairfield in 2001, starting as a small drapery workshop — at one point even running out of Sean’s lounge room. The vision was simple: create high-quality theatre drapes, made locally, that balanced artistry, compliance, and durability.
Broadening Services

2006

First Workshop Move

Outgrowing Fairfield, moving to Preston.

By 2006, Reveal had outgrown its Fairfield shopfront and moved to Preston — an emerging hub for entertainment logistics. The larger space allowed the team to take on more installations, upholstery, and custom work, keeping pace with the needs of a growing client base.
Scaling Up

2010

Second Relocation

More space for a growing operation.

Continued growth meant Reveal once again ran out of room. In 2010, the business moved into a bigger Preston facility to accommodate larger projects, a growing hire inventory, and increased demand for servicing. Each move reflected Reveal’s commitment to keeping up with the industry’s needs.
Flexible Solutions

2016

Consolidation into a Larger Space

Moving into a purpose-built workshop.

Reveal consolidated into a new, larger workshop designed for future growth. This move created space for bigger scenic builds, hire stock, and ongoing servicing, setting the stage for Reveal to handle projects at a national scale.
A New Chapter

2023

Acquired by TSA

Joining forces with Theatre Safe Australia.

In 2023, Reveal was acquired by Theatre Safe Australia (TSA). This partnership combined Reveal’s boutique craftsmanship with TSA’s national resources, allowing the business to offer a broader range of services while staying true to its roots of care, compliance, and custom solutions.
